Treatment Approach

  • Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
  • Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: I am warm, welcoming, and actively engaged in the therapy process. My style is both deep and practical—we’ll explore the emotions, patterns, and life experiences that have shaped you, while also working on strategies that help you feel better in daily life. I blend insight-oriented psychotherapy with solution-focused and strengths-based approaches to support intentional, sustainable change. For clients healing from trauma or distressing experiences, I integrate EMDR to help process what’s been overwhelming and release the emotional weight of the past, making more room for peace, clarity, and freedom in the present. I also offer Retirement Intensives—focused, personalized sessions for individuals or couples who are preparing to retire or navigating life after retirement. Together, we’ll explore your values, relationships, routines, and hopes for the future, and build a thoughtful plan that supports emotional, relational, and personal wellbeing in this next chapter. No matter what has brought you here, you don’t have to go through it alone. Therapy can give you the steadiness, clarity, and support you need to navigate this season well.

Renee Woodall Practice Description
You’ve spent much of your life caring for others, managing responsibilities, and striving to create a meaningful life. But lately, things may feel harder to hold together. You might feel stretched thin, weighed down, or disconnected from yourself or others. Life’s changes—whether in midlife or retirement—can stir deep emotions and leave you wondering how to find steadiness again. Together, we’ll explore what’s been difficult or painful and uncover new ways to heal, grow, and reconnect with what brings meaning and joy to your life. My approach combines deep, insight-oriented psychotherapy with practical, solution-focused strategies for meaningful, lasting change. I also offer Retirement Intensives—focused sessions for individuals or couples who want to approach retirement with perspective, purpose, and intention. Whether we meet online or in person in my Fort Collins office, therapy offers a calm, supportive space to reflect, restore, and move forward.
