I’m a somatic psychotherapist and counsellor who believes that lasting healing happens when the mind, body, and heart are aligned. I offer a safe, supportive environment where deep exploration is met with empathy, respect, and grounded presence. My work is informed by humanistic principles and a belief that each person carries innate wisdom within their nervous system waiting to be heard and understood.

Treatment Approach

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
  • Hakomi Method A mindfulness-based approach that helps clients notice unconscious patterns in their body and mind. It emphasizes compassion and non-judgment.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach sits within a humanistic, person-centred, somatic framework that prioritises the body’s experience as a gateway to emotional and psychological transformation. I draw on Somatic Experiential Focusing-Oriented Therapy, which helps clients tune into bodily sensation (“felt sense”) as a guide for deeper self-awareness and change. I also integrate modalities such as process-experiential emotion-focused work, existential psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural techniques, and psychodynamic understanding to tailor the therapy to what will serve you best. This blend allows us to work deeply with emotional patterns, regulate the nervous system, and create new ways of being that are grounded, embodied, and authentic.
