Treatment Approach
- Brainspotting A therapy that uses eye positions to access and process unresolved trauma. It helps release emotional and physical pain held in the body.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.

I am both empathetic and direct, which means I will hold your hand and commiserate with you, but also tell you exactly what I think when you're ready to hear it. I help you recognize your own strengths and remind you of them often, while drawing your attention to potential blind spots that may get in the way of your progress.
I pull from different treatment modalities and work closely with my clients to tailor each treatment plan so you get the most out of your time, effort, and energy spent in treatment. The issues I treat include anxiety, trauma, depression, family conflict, postpartum disorders, infertility, intergenerational trauma, migration trauma, and cross-cultural concerns.
My clients are encouraged to develop a healthy self esteem, practice lots of self-care, and learn to "stop being so hard on yourself." Life can be hard enough without us dragging ourselves down further, so let's work on that mindset and develop the tools you need to feel better and do better.
My practice involves use of psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, and brain-based therapies Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and brainspotting in order to further facilitate processing and address deep-rooted trauma, anxiety, phobias, and other issues.
