Intimate relationships can be so challenging to navigate. It's natural to feel discouraged or hopeless if you've been experiencing difficulties in your relationship for a while. I know that it can feel really intimidating to face your relationship issues together with your partner, let alone to ask for support from a therapist -- it's so vulnerable! I totally get it -- I've been there too. I'm a couple therapist who has gone through couple therapy, more than once! I understand how vulnerable even thinking about starting couple therapy can feel.
Here's how I can help: I can offer a space for you and your partner to sort through your challenges with fair representation of both partners; I can coach you on how to communicate respectfully and effectively, as well as how to address the core issues that are causing you pain; I can help you find ways to connect with each other that are unique to your relationship, as well as attainable and effective long-term; I can help you to find options to issues that have felt like they have no solutions; ultimately, I can help you to build security in your relationship so that you feel confident in your agreements, connection, and purpose as a couple.
Does this sound like it would be helpful for you? Good! Next step is to fill out my contact form to get in contact with me directly. Let's get you the support you need to feel secure in your relationship. 🙂

Treatment Approach
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Psychodrama A group therapy that uses role-play and dramatization to process emotions. It helps clients gain perspective and release tension.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My work with couples is highly collaborative and flexible towards their needs. Folks that I work with experience meaningful change through a blend of practical skill building, verbal processing, and psychoeducation throughout the course of treatment. I believe that couple therapy can be an enjoyable process, so I laugh with the folks that I sit with -- a LOT -- while still making sure to move couples towards their unique goals for their relationship.
As far as clinical training goes, I've been practicing for four years, and all of my schooling and professional training has been centered around relationships and trauma. I am very comfortable with couple relationships, as well as the issues that intimate relationships tend to face. I interpret each couple's presenting issues through Attachment Theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and nervous system functioning. This allows me to adjust pacing, interventions, and processing to every partner's unique needs. In couple therapy, I work with my folks to not only talk about change, but to also practice it. For those of you who are interested, I am Level 2 trained in the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), as well as basic trained in EMDR and Restoration Therapy. These approaches support how I show up with couples and what I do as a clinician. As a result, the couples I work with get a friendly but direct and practical approach to working through their struggles.
