We specialize in relationships. Using the roadmap of research-based Emotionally Focused Therapy, we help you identify what is happening in your relationships that is getting you so stuck in lack of communication, distance, conflict or struggling to overcome challenges such as addictions or relationship injuries. We work with couples who are wanting to improve communication, enjoy their sex lives more, develop emotional and physical intimacy and closeness, and overcome as a team the obstacles life can throw at us. We welcome premarital couples, couples on the brink of breakup and divorce, couples planning or navigating parenthood or other major life changes, and those who are wanting to find their spark again. We also help individuals working on relationship concerns. Maybe you have feelings you need to sort out with a neutral third party to figure out what you can do to improve your relationship. Maybe you are struggling with feelings of ambivalence or not knowing what to do to overcome challenges. Perhaps you have lost someone important to you and you need a caring and warm place to grieve. Maybe you're a great parent who has some really tough challenges or stuck places to overcome with your child. Or, perhaps you've been through trauma and desire healing when you've "endured more than most." We would love to get to know you and your individual goals and to be a support in your growth, healing and change. Maybe your family has struggles with blending together after re-marriage, or you need help communicating better between the parents and the kids. We love helping families find their way back to loving family connections that feel like the safe harbor from the chaos of our world that they were meant to be. If you are a parent of a child or teen who seems to be struggling, we would love to help you too. We offer play therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, sibling rivalry, perfectionism or school difficulties, and other common childhood concerns. Kids love to come to our welcoming, kid-friendly therapy room where they can be themselves.
