I work directly with the underlying patterns responsible for emotional pain. I use a psychotherapeutic method for exploring where emotional patterns come from, how they shape you, and what is happening now. I am trained in Jungian psychology so I very much welcome dreams as a way of authentically framing deeper psychological themes. I also teach somatic techniques, such as meditation and breathing, to calm the body and strengthen the mind. This is an integrative approach that has the flexibility of weaving together different levels of psychology depending on your needs and comfort.

Approach Description: I use psychotherapy to explore with you emotional patterns, where they come from and how they are affecting you in the present. I also work with dreams as a way of framing deeper psychological and emotional levels. Dreams very often provide detailed information as to what to do. Lastly, I am trained in somatic work, this means I use meditation and breathing exercises to calm the body and strengthen the mind as a body based method for building emotional resiliency.

Todd B. Peyton Practice Description
I am from the United States but I currently live in Thailand providing online Telehealth services to clients back in The Sates as well as the International community living abroad. There are a countless number of issues that can trigger deeper levels of anxiety and depressive moods. Although issues and external events are important, the main focus is working on how to manage and process anxiety itself. We feel emotional pain because it is happening inside of the body and is reinforced and amplified by our thoughts. Changing our thoughts and perceptions can be effective for some types of anxiety, but deeper changes requires the participation of the body. Once you are aware of how emotions start to arise within the body, you are in a much better position to implement strategies to neutralize them before they escalate. My practice incorporates different levels of intervention, from mental, emotional, physiological, and spiritual, to offer a practical and well rounded approach to psychological well being. In Jungian psychology I trained under the author Robert Johnson and Zurich trained analyst and Trappist monk, Father Gregory Santos. I transitioned to Thailand in 2009 to study comparative religion and learned meditation at monasteries in Northern Thailand and Thaton State, Myanmar. While working as a therapist for the US military overseas, I participated in training programs for Hatha Yoga and Pranayama breathwork. On one hand I have experience working in very conventional settings, I understand the dynamics and pressures, while on the other hand, I have in-depth training in psycho-spiritual practices in both contemporary psychoanalysis and older, traditional spiritual systems. Emotional pain is the main reason for anyone to seek counseling, and the combination of these techniques offers tools that can be utilized long after formal counseling has stopped.
