On The Move Mental Health

Registered Social Worker, MSW, RSW
Welcome! I work with children, youth, and adults. I provide sessions in three ways, in-office, walk & talk, and virtually. I take a holistic approach to practice, considering how our mind, emotions, body and spirit come together to frame our relationship to the world. I believe mental health to be not only the removal of challenges, but the creation of an active sense of well-being. So, in sessions together, I seek to focus not only on difficulties, but to consider what could be done to increase your resilience and sense of well-being. How we define health can vary widely, and some paths I tend to take focus on gratitude, mindfulness, self-compassion and vulnerability. I consider mental health to be a result of the interaction between a person and their environment and seek to consider how your values, stories about your life, and actions relate to your experiences. I enjoy taking an adaptive approach that is flexible to focus on different aspects of your life. Coming from a feminist-narrative approach, I believe in partial expertise — that as a client and a therapist, we both have expertise, but what we know is incomplete. Only together, in collaboration, can we combine our expertise to create a full picture. I have been working as a social worker for 10 years. I have a Master of Social Work (Dalhousie University), with a focus on a critical approaches to clinical practice. I completed a thesis on youth experiences of mental health in relation to participation in music oriented, community based programs. Prior to becoming a mental health therapist, I worked in preventative mental health with children, youth and their teachers.

I am an action-oriented therapist with the goal of helping you live better, not just feel better during the session. You can trust that we are going to focus on your growth, right from day one. You will leave sessions ideas to reflect on, content to read, or experiential exercises to try out. I will always meet you with kindness and compassion, but also care enough to challenge you when there are things you are doing that might be getting in the way of living your ideal life. Elizabeth Kisser, Agape Transitions

Counsellor/Therapist, Counsellor ,RTC
I offer a gentle, compassionate space where you can show up as you are — without judgment, pressure, or having to mask. Many of the people I work with are ADHD, neurodivergent, highly sensitive, or have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood or out of place. This is deeply personal for me. I’ve been connected to the neurodivergent community for over 40 years, both personally and professionally, and I understand the realities beneath the labels. Our work together isn’t one-size-fits-all. I take time to truly get to know you — your story, your nervous system, your experiences, your strengths — and I tailor our sessions around what actually supports you. Whether you’re navigating overwhelm, relationships, burnout, trauma, or simply trying to understand yourself more clearly, you’ll be met with care, respect, and genuine presence. If you’re looking for a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood, I invite you to book a free consultation so we can explore whether we’re a good fit.
