My stand on 'women's issues' has not really changed over the years. Originally these views were thought to be feminist. Very feminist. Now those exact same views are seen as more traditionalist! I have always believed in justice, respect and equality, for all human beings. For me, I am a human being first. Woman, second. Perhaps you are a human being first and a man second? I celebrate both! In my opinion each person is equal to every other and if we explore, understand and fill our needs - the same needs whatever our sex, colour or any other demographic - we will be happy. If we do not…. Fullstop. This belief is NVC or Non Violent (or Compassionate) Communication, organized by Dr Marshall Rosenberg in action. As women, our experience of the world is uniquely female. As men it is male. Man and woman stand at the two ends of this spectrum and in between are a thousand iterations of humanity waiting to be explored! I am wide open to hearing your story.

Tired of trying to meditate your way to enlightenment while a squirrel outside performs an existential crisis on your bird feeder? Let’s be real, the path to genuine well-being isn't found by perfectly aligning your chakras while simultaneously hitting all your social media metrics and remembering to water your houseplants (RIP, Gertrude). Forget the endless self-help books that promise you'll "manifest your best life" if only you drink enough celery juice. What if genuine well-being just... happens when someone actually listens to you without immediately offering unsolicited advice about your posture or suggesting you just "think positively"? Turns out, being truly heard, deeply understood, and seen with profound compassion is a significantly less strenuous route than, say, trying to achieve zen while juggling a thousand "shoulds."
We all hit those "I can't even" moments, right? Whether you're wrestling with the existential dread of folding fitted sheets, or feeling the pressure to be "man enough" to never cry during a rom-com (spoiler: you probably already have), or "woman enough" to juggle a career, family, and a perfectly curated Instagram feed, the labels are frankly a bit… exhausting. It’s like being trapped in a psychological escape room, only the instructions are in ancient Sumerian and the prize is a lukewarm coffee. The universal weight of feeling stuck, the burden of expectations that could crush a small elephant, and the pervasive fear of judgment (often from ourselves, which is extra annoying) are struggles we all know. You're not alone in feeling like you've somehow missed the memo on how to adult gracefully.
But imagine a different reality – one where you can just… poof… rise above that nonsense. Picture discovering an inner balance that doesn't require a daily contortionist act, a quiet strength that empowers you to speak your truth without immediately adding "just kidding!" and to pursue your deepest desires with an unwavering conviction that makes your old doubts look utterly ridiculous. This isn't about dismissing your unique challenges; it's about unlocking the formidable power within you to overcome them, probably with more grace (and definitely more humor) than you ever thought possible. You've got this secret superpower, you know. It's not about bench-pressing your anxieties, but about gently showing them the door, perhaps with a plate of metaphorical cookies. You are inherently more magnificent than your perceived limitations; you are capable of extraordinary transformation, even if that sometimes just means successfully adulting without setting off the smoke alarm.
So, ditch the rigid rulebook, stop trying to impress that imaginary jury in your head, and let's actually figure out what makes your spirit sing (even if it's slightly off-key). We’re here to embark on this journey of self-discovery, empathy, and empowerment together, creating a life that authentically aligns with the deepest longings of your heart – no celery juice required. Your extraordinary transformation? It's waiting. And frankly, it's probably tired of waiting.
