Treating personality disorders is one of my clinical specialties. Although personality disorders are, by definition, long-standing problems, they can indeed be treated. I generally use one of four contemporary psychodynamic approaches (i.e., Transference-Focused Psychotherapy, Supportive-Expressive Therapy, Mentalization-Based Treatment, and Supportive Therapy), either alone or in combination, to help people improve. I have published professional works (i.e., articles; a book) on psychodynamic therapy as well. Please note that I do not do couple's therapy and that I will not schedule appointments intended for other people (e.g., spouses, family members). All potential patients must contact me directly.
