Jenn Coonce

Licensed Psychoanalyst, Licensed Psychoanalyst, New York State
Often times, people find that they experience unhappiness, anxiety, or repeated obstacles to getting what they want. This can lead to problems with relationships, work, or other areas of our lives. Through a cooperative, supportive relationship with a therapist you trust and feel comfortable with, you can learn how to cope with what the "universe" throws your way, and choose behaviors and habits that can help you get more of what you want from life. By talking with someone you trust and feel comfortable with, I believe anyone can learn to know themselves better and to live more consciously and deliberately.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to create meaningful, measurable change in how they feel, function, and relate to others. I work with a wide range of concerns—including anxiety, low mood, loss, self-doubt, and life transitions—and have particular expertise in performance psychology, public speaking anxiety, panic attacks, fear of flying, and questions of purpose or meaning. Dr. Erica Gardner-Schuster

Psychologist, PhD
I am a specialized trauma- & attachment-oriented group therapist committed to helping adults heal, grow and cultivate more fulfilling relationships and lives. In my groups, healing happens in the context of a safe therapeutic community of fellow travelers who can relate, help each other feel less alone, and support one another in making the changes needed to get more out of life. I also use a liberation psychology lens to help group members explore the intersection of cultural and identify factors and mental health and feel more confident and empowered in their lives. Group therapy can help you find deeper meaning and connection through the practice of authenticity: "letting go of who we think we're supposed to be and embracing who we are" (Brené Brown). By helping you bring your full authentic self into connection, Group can help you transcend loneliness to find more fulfilling relationships. Group can help you lean into your life with more courage, compassion and vulnerability. Group can support your unique journey as you find your way home to where you belong, and to the relationships that sustain you.

Manhattan, New York therapist: Alvina Anantram, counselor/therapist
Psychoeducational Therapy

Alvina Anantram

Counselor/Therapist, M.A., LMHC
Hi, I’m Alvina! I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, relationship insecurity, low self-esteem, and patterns of overthinking, people-pleasing, or emotional dependence on others for reassurance and validation. Many of my clients feel unchosen in relationships, become anxious around communication or connection, and over-extend themselves to feel worthy or secure. While these patterns may be familiar, they can still feel difficult to shift. In therapy, we go beyond coping strategies and surface-level insight. We explore the root of relationship anxiety and attachment patterns, helping you develop emotional grounding, self-trust, and a more secure sense of self. This deeper work supports lasting change — allowing you to relate to yourself and others with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional stability. If you’re looking for therapy that addresses the ‘why’ beneath your patterns and supports meaningful, long-term change, I invite you to send me a message today to get started!

New York City, New York therapist: Dr. Stéphanie Gamache, PhD, hypnotherapist
Psychoeducational Therapy

Dr. Stéphanie Gamache, PhD

Hypnotherapist, PhD
My work is rooted in a deep interest in how early relational and emotional experience shapes our capacity for self-regulation, connection, desire, and meaning throughout life. I am particularly interested in how people come to know what they need and want, how they learn to express or inhibit those impulses, and what happens when these capacities become conflicted, constricted, or difficult to sustain. Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, capable, and outwardly composed, yet internally experience anxiety, low mood, chronic tension or pain, self-criticism, or a sense that something essential is blocked, muted, or inaccessible. These struggles may show up in mood, behavior, the body, or in relationships-including sexuality and intimacy-but they are rarely limited to any one area. Rather, they reflect deeper emotional and relational patterns formed early in life, often before words, that continue to shape how a person approaches closeness, vulnerability, agency, pleasure, and self-expression. My work integrates psychoanalytic psychotherapy, hypnosis, somatic awareness, and clinical sexology within a reflective, depth-oriented process. Hypnosis is used as a central clinical tool to support deeper internal contact and to access emotional, bodily, and unconscious material that can be difficult to reach through conversation alone. I am interested not only in relieving symptoms-such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or behavioral patterns-but in helping people develop a more coherent and compassionate relationship with their inner life: their sensations, emotions, impulses, and desires. This work is oriented toward lasting psychological change and greater freedom in how one relates to oneself, one’s body, and one’s capacity for connection, authenticity, and vitality.
