Experiencing grief is difficult. To the point that words do not seem like enough. My approach is to meet you where you are at and to work with you in a compassionate manner. We will use a blend of holistic and evidence based techniques to help you heal and move forward in a way that is comfortable for you.
Are you familiar with the stages of grief? People go through grief in different ways. My goal is to be your counselor and actively work with you in a manner that fits your needs. We will take the time that is needed and navigate the stages of grief.

A major shift has taken place in the life of a grieving person. In many cases communication, relationships, and life satisfaction are all affected by the loss. Therapy can assist in the residual effects of grief and loss as well as with processing the event.
I assist high achievers and perfectionists in navigating grief and loss by addressing how their drive for perfection can complicate their grieving process. Together, we explore how unrealistic expectations and a need for control may affect their ability to fully process and express their emotions. I provide support in developing healthy coping strategies and finding ways to honor their grief while balancing their responsibilities. By fostering self-compassion and a more flexible approach to their emotions, I help clients navigate their journey through loss with greater resilience. My goal is to guide them towards healing and acceptance while maintaining their sense of self and purpose.

A loss occurs within any change in our lives. Even a good change equals a loss and it needs to be acknowledged and grieved. This may be a life change or and actual death of someone we love.
