Starting with a new therapist takes a lot of courage and most of us wouldn't do it unless we need real help. Most hurt and trauma happens in our relationships with others and in order for therapy to help you need to be able to trust that your therapist is with you. When.you talk with me, you have my full attention. We'll make connections between what's happening now and what happened in your past experiences. We'll also work on feeling less shame and more safety.
I'm easy to sit with. I like people and I'm funny. My clients tell me that they feel like they can tell me anything. You won't learn too much about me personally but you'll know a lot about who I am because the therapeutic relationship is a big part of what heals us. I am fun, direct, empathetic, but direct so that you can have the results you are looking for in a short amount of time. I love what I do, so it's not work to me. I'm very interactive in sessions so there won't be many times where I just sit there and don't provide feedback.
