Most of my clients already know what is wrong. What they struggle with is knowing how to change it. My work goes beyond surface-level coping and into the emotional patterns that keep you stuck. I help people feel safe enough to tell the truth about their lives, their relationships, and themselves, so real healing can begin. If you are ready for more than just “talking about it,” I would love to walk with you.

Treatment Approach

  • Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is relational, depth-oriented, and centered on emotional safety. I believe real change does not come from forcing solutions or “thinking your way out” of pain, but from feeling understood, making sense of your story, and gently shifting the patterns that keep you stuck. Many of my clients are insightful and self-aware, yet still feel trapped in cycles they cannot seem to change. My work focuses on helping insight turn into emotional movement and lasting change. I draw from narrative and psychodynamic frameworks, along with other evidence-based approaches, to help clients explore how their past experiences, relationships, beliefs, and internal world shape how they show up today. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I look for root patterns, unspoken needs, and emotional blocks. This allows us to work at a deeper level where real healing can happen. I move at a pace that feels safe and collaborative. Therapy with me is not about being pushed or fixed. It is about creating enough trust that honesty becomes possible. I help clients slow down, listen to themselves more clearly, and build new ways of relating to their emotions, relationships, and identity. My goal is not just relief, but greater self-understanding, emotional freedom, and connection. I offer both faith-integrated therapy and clinically grounded care without faith integration. When clients desire it, I thoughtfully incorporate Biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection in ways that support emotional healing rather than replace it. When clients prefer a non-faith-based approach, I remain fully client-centered, respectful, and inclusive. In both cases, the work is guided by curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for each person’s journey. Above all, I believe therapy should feel human. You do not need to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out. My role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your story, heal what has been heavy, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and free.

Abbrielle Schenck Practice Description
My practice is designed for people who are thoughtful, self-aware, and tired of feeling stuck in patterns they already understand but cannot seem to change. Many of my clients know what they struggle with, yet feel frustrated that insight alone has not brought relief. I focus on helping clients move beyond surface-level coping and into deeper emotional healing so change feels natural, sustainable, and real. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes or checking boxes. It is about creating the safety and understanding needed for true transformation. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, intimacy struggles, shame, identity questions, spiritual concerns, infidelity, pornography use, and problematic sexual behaviors. I am especially passionate about helping people make sense of how their past, their relationships, and their internal world shape the way they show up today. Together, we explore root patterns, emotional blocks, and unspoken fears in a way that feels gentle, respectful, and empowering rather than overwhelming. A core part of my work is emotional safety. Many clients come to therapy feeling guarded, ashamed, or unsure if they can fully be themselves. I strive to create a space where honesty feels possible, where you do not have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, not judged, and understood, not rushed. I offer both faith-integrated care and clinically grounded therapy without faith integration, depending on what each client prefers. For those who desire it, I integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection in ways that support emotional growth rather than replace it. For others, I provide a fully clinical approach that remains respectful, inclusive, and client-centered. No matter the path you choose, my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and care. Whether you are trying to rebuild trust, reconnect with yourself, deepen your relationships, or finally find peace, you do not have to do it alone. My goal is not to “fix” you, but to help you understand yourself more fully, heal what has been heavy, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and free.
