Middle Path Wellness Collective
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC
Middle Path Wellness Collective was created to be the kind of therapy space people don’t realize they’ve been needing: a place where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or carry everything by yourself. Our clinicians work collaboratively, meaning we spend a great deal of time on training and consulting with each other. This approach gives clients the benefit of a team deeply committed to thoughtful, relationship-centered care. We focus on helping people understand themselves more clearly, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful change that actually lasts, all within an environment that feels grounded, genuine, and human.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: Our approach to therapy is grounded in the understanding that our emotional experiences and relationship patterns don’t develop randomly—they are shaped over time through our relationships, life experiences, and the ways we’ve learned to protect ourselves. At Middle Path Wellness Collective, we use attachment-informed, trauma-aware, and evidence-based approaches to help clients understand these patterns with clarity and compassion, rather than judgment.
We draw from models including attachment-based therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and trauma-informed care. These approaches help clients move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward understanding the underlying emotional needs, fears, and protective strategies that influence how they think, feel, and relate to others. When these patterns become clearer, clients are able to make intentional choices that support healthier relationships and greater emotional stability.
Our therapists focus on creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and fully seen. We work collaboratively with each client, moving at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. Rather than forcing change, we help clients build awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop new ways of responding to themselves and others.
For individual clients, this often includes exploring how past experiences influence present-day emotions, relationships, and self-perception. For couples, therapy focuses on understanding negative cycles, improving communication, and rebuilding emotional connection so partners can feel like they are on the same team again.
We also believe that therapy works best when it feels genuine and human. Our clinicians are engaged, thoughtful, and present, offering both insight and practical tools while honoring each client’s unique story and goals.
Our ultimate goal is to help clients feel more secure in themselves, more connected in their relationships, and more confident in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

Middle Path Wellness Collective is a collaborative therapy practice built on the belief that meaningful change happens within safe, authentic relationships. We provide attachment-informed, trauma-aware therapy for adolescents, adults, couples, and families who want to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and live the life they want.
Many of the people who come to us are high-functioning on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. They may find themselves repeating the same arguments with their partner, feeling emotionally exhausted, struggling with anxiety or past trauma, or carrying the invisible weight of always being the one others rely on. Therapy at Middle Path helps clients slow down, make sense of their experiences, and create space for new ways of thinking and living.
Our clinicians work from evidence-based approaches that help us understand where our clients are in their journey. These approaches help us understand behavior, thoughts and reactions that are no longer working for our clients. Rather than focusing only on surface-level symptoms, we help clients understand the deeper emotional patterns that shape how they think, feel, and relate to others. This process allows clients to move beyond simply coping and toward genuine healing, clarity, and connection.
One of the things that makes Middle Path unique is our collaborative model. Our therapists regularly consult with one another (don't worry, client identity is confidential), ensuring clients benefit from the collective knowledge, insight, and care of an entire team. This creates a richer, more supportive therapeutic environment and allows us to provide thoughtful, personalized care for each individual and relationship we serve.
We also utilize the vast knowledge and practice modalities of each clinician to offer to our clients should they become stuck or need a bit more support through a tough situation. For example, a second clinician might offer a short-term trauma-based modality to help a client make deeper progress in their sessions. Then you return to your primary therapist to continue the work you've been doing.
We work with clients navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, identity exploration, parenting stress, burnout, and feelings of disconnection or overwhelm. We also provide affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and young adults navigating major life transitions, helping them develop a stronger sense of self and more secure relationships.
Therapy at Middle Path is not about being judged or “fixed.” It is about being understood. Our clinicians are deeply present, engaged, and committed to creating an environment where clients feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves. We believe that when people feel seen and supported, they naturally move toward growth, resilience, and healthier ways of relating.
We offer both in-person therapy in the St. Louis area and secure online therapy throughout Missouri, making care accessible and flexible for clients with busy lives.
At its core, Middle Path Wellness Collective is a place where people come to reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with the parts of their lives that matter most.
