Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is a little different. Rather than focusing on what is “wrong” or trying to fit you into a specific model, I work to highlight your internal and external wisdom, strength, and resilience. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support your autonomy, honor your experiences, and walk alongside you as you make meaning of what you have been through.
I strive to create a space where your feelings are validated and where the systems that have impacted your life, identity, and mental health are acknowledged rather than ignored. Together, we explore both personal experiences and the larger social, cultural, and relational factors that contribute to pain, coping, and healing.
While I draw from a variety of therapy approaches, how we use them is always guided by your needs, goals, and values. Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and centered on your growth, self trust, and empowerment. My hope is that you leave each session feeling more connected to yourself, more supported, and more confident in your ability to move forward.

Carrying big emotions alone can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating. When pain builds over time, we often reach for whatever helps us survive in the moment, even when those coping strategies begin to harm us or pull us away from the life we hope for. It is an honor to walk alongside you as you face what has felt too heavy or frightening to hold alone and begin creating space for healing, growth, and self understanding. Your life is your own, and recovery and healing are defined by you. My role is to honor where you are while moving with you toward the future you want to build. Contact me today to learn more about how I can support you on your journey of healing.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating Autism and ADHD, Substance use and Addiction, Codependency, persistent suicidal thoughts, and Personality Disorders. I also support clients healing from childhood trauma, racial trauma and grief, and trauma related to experiences within mental health systems that have been violent, harmful, dismissive, or unjust. Many of the people I work with carry deep pain connected to identity, abandonment, loss, or feeling unseen, and deserve a space where their experiences are fully honored.
As an LGBTQ affirming therapist, I welcome exploration of identity, sexuality, and self acceptance in a way that feels safe and authentic. I strive to create a space where all parts of you are respected and valued, including your story, your struggles, and your strengths.
My approach to therapy is Client Centered, Relational, Humanistic, Decolonial, and Anti-Oppressive. I believe healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. By using an eclectic and flexible approach, I tailor each session to your unique needs and lived experiences. Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about helping you reconnect with yourself, build skills, and create a life that aligns with your values and goals.
You do not have to walk this journey alone. If you are ready to begin healing, explore change, or simply have a space where you can breathe and be understood, I invite you to reach out. It would be an honor to support you.
