Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Pinecrest, FL, practicing at South Miami Psychology Group. I am proud to be PSYPACT authorized, allowing me to provide telepsychology services to clients located in over 40 participating states across the country — in addition to in-person sessions at my Pinecrest office.
A Miami native, I attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy and went on to complete my undergraduate training at Florida International University and my doctoral degree at Carlos Albizu University in Miami — a program renowned for its commitment to culturally sensitive, community-focused care. I completed my postdoctoral residency at Citrus Health Network, where I gained extensive experience working with diverse populations across a range of clinical settings. This city has shaped who I am, and I feel deeply connected to the community I serve.
My path to psychology wasn't the expected one. Coming from a family background in finance and business, I always assumed I would follow in those footsteps. But the moment I started working with clients, I knew I had found my purpose.
I also know firsthand what it feels like to need support. Having navigated my own challenges has only deepened my empathy and my commitment to walking alongside others on their journey. One of the most important lessons I carry with me — from both my training and my own life — is that people don't always remember what you say, but they always remember how you made them feel.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-harm, OCD, life transitions, divorce, fertility-related stress, grief, family conflict, and more. I see individuals and families, and offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where every person feels accepted and genuinely supported.
Whatever brings someone to therapy, my goal is simple: for them to leave each session feeling understood, cared for, and a little lighter than when they walked in.
Proudly serving Pinecrest, South Miami, Coral Gables, Kendall, and the greater Miami-Dade area in person, and clients across 40+ PSYPACT participating states via telehealth.
