I started working with clients 10 years ago while in grad school. I also became a client 10 years ago! Over the years as I’ve worked on both sides of the proverbial couch, I’ve learned that therapy can look different depending on who I am sitting with. Because it is who you are and what you bring that helps shape the space. There is no “one size fits all” therapy approach, it’s about YOU. That can be intimidating, and that’s why I’m here. No matter who you are, where you’re at, and what you bring, we’re going to co-create a space where you get to meaningfully connect with yourself and the people in your life by putting your needs and wellbeing front and center.

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Object Relations Therapy Focuses on how early caregiver relationships shape current relationships. It aims to improve patterns of attachment and trust.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Self Psychology Explores the development of self-esteem and identity. It emphasizes the importance of empathy in healing.
Approach Description: I am trained in psychodynamic theory, but will bring in whatever is in my toolbox that can support us in the space. Psychodynamic theories are pretty old school at heart (hi, good ol’ talk therapy!), yet at the core they help us explore something many of us have wondered: What in the world are our brains up to?! Through curiosity, exploration of our stories, pattern recognition, and non-judgmental kindness, we will find the strategies your brain is using to try and keep you safe. Some of those will show us your strengths, some may not be serving you anymore, and some might be doing the opposite of your brain’s intent and are harmful now. That can present as depression, anxiety, low self-worth, etc. Whatever name we give it, change is possible (brains are pretty cool)! The same way your brain learned all the strategies you have, it can learn new ones. Like a lot of learning, especially as an adult, it takes time and practice. That’s why therapy can help, because sometimes it takes two of us to create an environment where this kind of change can happen. I’ll be there, engaging with you as explore your struggles, your wins, your identity, and integration towards wellbeing at life’s crossroads and intersections.
