When people begin therapy, they are often carrying far more than anyone around them realizes. Beneath the anxiety, exhaustion, overthinking, shame, conflict, or loneliness is often a person who has spent years trying to survive, hold everything together, meet expectations, and remain strong for everyone else. My work as a therapist is rooted in helping people reconnect with themselves beneath those survival strategies.
I believe healing happens most deeply through authentic human connection. While insight and coping skills are important, lasting transformation often occurs when people feel truly seen, emotionally safe, and no longer alone in their experience. My approach to therapy is relational, compassionate, grounded, and integrative. I draw from attachment theory, somatic approaches, existential therapy, mindfulness, and relational-cultural frameworks to help clients better understand not only their thoughts, but also the emotional and nervous system patterns that shape their lives and relationships.
As both a therapist and counselor educator, I have spent years helping people navigate shame, trauma, grief, identity struggles, relational pain, anxiety, burnout, and the quiet sense of disconnection many people carry beneath the surface. I work especially well with individuals who are insightful and self-aware, yet still find themselves repeating painful patterns, struggling to trust themselves, or feeling emotionally stuck despite “knowing better.”
I do not view people as broken. I see symptoms as intelligent adaptations to pain, loss, fear, and unmet needs. Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It is about coming home to yourself with greater compassion, honesty, courage, and freedom.
My hope is to create a space where clients can slow down, breathe, explore their inner world without judgment, and begin building a life that feels more authentic, connected, and sustainable. Healing is not about perfection. It is about learning to relate to yourself and others in ways that bring greater wholeness, presence, and aliveness.

Treatment Approach
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Object Relations Therapy Focuses on how early caregiver relationships shape current relationships. It aims to improve patterns of attachment and trust.
- Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and deeply focused on helping people understand not just what they are struggling with, but why those patterns developed in the first place. I believe many of the behaviors people criticize in themselves such as anxiety, emotional shutdown, people-pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, avoidance, or difficulty trusting others were originally intelligent ways of adapting to pain, disconnection, or unmet emotional needs. Rather than judging those patterns, we work together to understand them with compassion and curiosity.
My work is strongly influenced by Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), which is based on the idea that healing happens through healthy, authentic connection. Many people carry wounds from relationships where they felt unseen, rejected, misunderstood, unsafe, or emotionally alone. Over time, this can lead people to hide parts of themselves, disconnect from their emotions, or struggle to trust others. In therapy, I aim to create a safe and genuine relationship where clients can experience being accepted, understood, and emotionally supported while also learning how to build healthier and more fulfilling connections outside the therapy room.
I am also influenced by the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), a therapeutic approach that helps people understand how early life experiences shape their nervous system, identity, and relationships. Many people develop survival patterns early in life such as becoming overly independent, constantly trying to please others, disconnecting from emotions, or feeling like they are “too much” or “not enough.” These patterns often continue into adulthood automatically, even when they no longer serve us. NARM helps clients gently explore these patterns without shame while building greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, connection, and self-trust.
In addition to talk therapy, I often incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and present-moment exploration to help clients reconnect not only with their thoughts, but also with their emotions, body, and deeper sense of self. My goal is to help clients move beyond simply coping and toward living with greater authenticity, freedom, connection, and emotional wholeness.
