Maybe desire has gone quiet, or sex has started to feel like a test you keep failing. Maybe you’re trying to recover from a betrayal, or your sexual behavior feels out of your control. Maybe you and your partner keep having the same fight. Sexual and relationship struggles are rarely just about sex, or just about the relationship. They’re tangled up in history, body, culture, and the expectations we’ve absorbed about who we’re supposed to be.
I’m an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and LCSW, and I work online with adults and couples. Much of my work is with men (gay, straight, and everywhere in between) and with couples, including gay, queer, and mixed-orientation couples. I also have a deep commitment to Jewish clients, especially gay and queer Jews who have felt isolated or pushed out of community by antisemitism.
I’m direct, warm, and honest. I won’t hand you a script. Therapy with me is a place to build the capacity your life and relationships actually need, so you can be more honest with yourself, more flexible with each other, and less ruled by shame.

Treatment Approach
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Schema Therapy Identifies deep-rooted negative patterns formed in childhood. It combines CBT, attachment theory, and experiential methods for change.
Approach Description: My work is integrative and depth-oriented, drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy, schema therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and ACT. In practice, that means working on several levels at once. We look at the patterns shaped by your earliest relationships and the emotions moving underneath them. We name the rigid beliefs and survival strategies that have outlived their usefulness. And I support you in acting on what actually matters to you, even when that’s uncomfortable.
In sex therapy, I start from the premise that sexual difficulties are rarely just sexual. They involve body, history, relationship, and culture, including the unspoken expectations we inherit about what sex is supposed to look like. For people struggling with sexual behavior that feels out of control (what many call sex or porn addiction), I use a non-shaming, values-based model rather than an addiction model. My goal isn’t to restore an idealized sex life. It’s to help you, and your partner if relevant, build a more honest, flexible, and resilient relationship to desire, pleasure, and each other.
