I have worked in the field of psychology for more than 25 years across a variety of settings, including children's group homes, community mental health centers, and private practice. I also served for many years as Director of Mental Health at a large urban preschool, experience that deepened my understanding of child development, family systems, and the complexities of supporting children and their families.
In recent years, my clinical work has increasingly included EMDR for processing specific traumatic experiences, along with nervous-system-informed approaches drawing from Polyvagal Theory. I work with adolescents and adults and also provide parent consultation across developmental stages, with particular interest in supporting parents of neurodivergent children, including autistic children and children with a demand-avoidant/PDA profile.
I have also provided clinical supervision to psychology trainees and marriage and family therapy interns. I love the work I do and remain committed to ongoing learning and professional development so that I can continue to offer thoughtful, individualized support.

Treatment Approach
- Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) Trauma-informed therapy that helps individuals explore deeply held, painful emotional experiences within a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Transpersonal Therapy Integrates spirituality and higher states of consciousness with psychology. It encourages growth beyond the individual self.
Approach Description: My therapeutic approach is grounded in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Core Self Reclamation Therapy (CSRT), built on a foundation of psychodynamic and attachment-based work. I draw on mindfulness and nervous-system-informed perspectives, including Polyvagal Theory, to support greater self-understanding and emotional regulation. I also incorporate EMDR with select clients when it is a good fit, particularly to help process specific traumatic experiences. My approach is individualized, responsive to each client's needs and goals, and oriented toward meaningful, lasting change.
