Salima Jadavji (She/Her)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, MSW, RSW, C. Hyp™
 therapist: Salima Jadavji,
Online in Ontario (Online Only)
I work with high-functioning professionals and caregivers who are outwardly capable but internally exhausted, anxious, or disconnected. Many have been managing chronic stress for years and are now feeling its impact on their mood, sleep, confidence, or relationships. My work is trauma-informed and collaborative, focused on restoring steadiness, self-trust, and sustainable change — not just short-term coping. Anxiety, burnout, and low mood rarely exist in isolation. They are often shaped by long-term stress, perfectionism, relational patterns, or past experiences that have taught the nervous system to stay on high alert. You do not need to identify with a specific trauma for trauma-informed therapy to be helpful.

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
  • Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
  • Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
  • Hypnotherapy Uses guided relaxation and focus to access the subconscious mind. It is often used for habits, anxiety, and pain management.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, collaborative approach that emphasizes emotional safety, choice, and intentional pacing. Therapy with me is both practical and reflective — supporting symptom relief in the present while also helping you understand the deeper patterns influencing how you relate to yourself and others. I integrate evidence-based therapy with compassion-focused and mindfulness-informed practices. Our work focuses on understanding how long-term stress, perfectionism, and past experiences shape emotional responses and self-talk — and on developing tools that support steadiness, clarity, and resilience in daily life. I tend to work best with clients who value a thoughtful, respectful therapeutic relationship and are ready to look beyond symptom relief toward deeper patterns that shape how they relate to themselves and others. My approach is thoughtful, grounded, and intentional — focused on helping clients reconnect with themselves in ways that support long-term wellbeing, not just short-term coping.
