Let’s be honest—life is hard. Messy, beautiful, overwhelming, and at times downright ridiculous. If you’re struggling (like most of us are at some point), you deserve a space that feels safe, supportive, and—believe it or not—a little bit lighter.
I’m a seasoned therapist who brings clinical expertise and a human touch. That means evidence-based approaches grounded in years of experience, paired with humor, compassion, and real talk. I believe in validating your experience while gently helping you shift what’s not working.
Therapy with me isn’t about judgment—it’s about connection. I create a space where you can exhale, show up exactly as you are, and start untangling what’s holding you back. I normalize the human condition because, well, we’re all just trying to get through this thing called life. Let’s do it together—with insight, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.

Hi, I'm Dr. Peck, a licensed psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience helping people find clarity, balance, and a little humor along the way. I’m licensed in North Carolina and New York, and as a PsyPact provider, I also offer virtual therapy across many other states—so whether you’re in person in NC or Zooming in from afar, I’ve got you covered.
I earned my Psy.D. in 2003, and since then, I’ve been dedicated to the art (and science) of therapy. My style blends deep compassion, a good sense of humor, and evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions, along with doses of Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), Polyvagal Theory, and compassion-focused practices. I also hold a certification in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy from the Institute for Mindfulness and Psychotherapy (2020)—so yes, we might talk about your inner critic… but we’ll also breathe through it.
I believe therapy should feel like a collaboration, not a lecture. I'm here to help normalize the messiness of being human, support you in reconnecting to what matters, and offer practical tools to navigate life’s curveballs (or full-blown plot twists).
Outside the therapy room, I’m a big fan of movement and connection—lifting weights, watching sports, taking walks, and hanging with my family, friends and our big ol’ dog. I know firsthand that life is a lot, and my goal is to help you feel a little more grounded, a little more hopeful, and a lot more like yourself.
Whether you're navigating stress, relationships, anxiety, burnout, or just trying to get through the day, I’m here to help—with curiosity, care, and maybe even a laugh or two.
