I help adults and adolescents who are dealing with depression, anxiety, life stressors, chronic illness, and relationship concerns. Living with mental health symptoms impacts everything one does in daily life. Sometimes the result might be irritability and sadness, while at other times things can feel overwhelming and anxiety inducing. With specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), health psychology and mood issues, I help clients identify their unique needs and establish achievable goals.
While at SMU, I have honed an approach grounded in clinical experience and academic training, which helps clients navigate relational challenges, identity development, and emotional issues. Drawing primarily from Experiential Therapy and integrating systemic approaches, I emphasize emotional expression, connection, and communication to support clients in exploring their personal growth while building healthier relationships.
I am currently a pre-licensed professional and I work under the supervision of Dr. Robert Kinney (Texas #37176).

Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
Approach Description: Seeking out support is often the first step towards regaining hope and feeling better. Through evidence-based treatments, I help clients discover the relationships between thoughts, mood and behaviors. This can initiate change and end even the most negative life-cycles.
I strive to provide a genuine and empathic environment and I enjoy working with diverse individuals. I look forward to helping you establish a path towards wellness and symptom relief.

Insight & Change is a collective of like-minded psychologists whose mission it is to provide evidence-based treatment across the lifespan. We pride ourselves in providing empathic, collaborative, multidisciplinary, and inclusive care. It is our belief that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and compassion.
As a practice, we are committed to the idea that treatment should be both individualized and accessible. This means that clients and potential clients will always speak with a psychologist directly when they call. We are transparent with our schedules and our goals, and make every effort to be prompt when scheduling; when this is not possible, we are clear about wait times and assist clients in finding alternative options, if desired. Treatment plans are co-created openly and collaboratively, and we will always meet a client where they are, honoring their physical and emotional space. We know we will not be the right fit for every client, and we will refer to our expert colleagues as needed.
Insight & Change is focused on growth and evolution. Just as we hope to witness our clients engage in transformation over time, we are also committed to feedback, self-reflection, discovery, and change.
