I started CCW International because I knew there was a gap. Women were struggling in silence. Veterans were coming home carrying weight that no one around them could quite understand. And the mental health world was not always showing up for them the way they deserved.
I have been in both worlds. As a U.S. Army veteran and a licensed psychologist, I know what it feels like to be strong for everyone else while quietly wondering who is going to be strong for you. That lived experience shaped everything about how we show up for our clients.
At CCW International, we do not just treat symptoms. We see the whole person. We ask about your story. We honor your service, your sacrifices, and your resilience. And we walk with you as you find your way back to yourself.
Our team is made up of clinicians who genuinely care, who bring both clinical expertise and human warmth to every session. We specialize in trauma recovery, resilience-building, and evidence-based care designed specifically for women, veterans, and military families.
If you have been waiting for a sign that it is okay to ask for help, this is it. We are here. And we are ready when you are.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Reality Therapy / Choice Theory Focuses on present choices and taking responsibility for actions. It helps clients create more fulfilling relationships and lives.
Approach Description: My approach is rooted in the belief that healing is not linear, and that every person who walks through our door (or logs on to our screen) brings a unique story that deserves to be honored. I meet clients where they are, without judgment, and we build from there together.
At CCW International, we draw on evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches, and resilience-building strategies that are tailored to each individual. For our veteran and military family clients, we bring a deep understanding of military culture, the weight of service, and the unique challenges of transitioning back to civilian life.
We believe that true wellness goes beyond symptom management. Our goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, rebuild your sense of self, and move forward with confidence and clarity. Whether you are just beginning your healing journey or looking to go deeper, we will walk alongside you every step of the way.

CCW International (Centers for Counseling and Wellness International) was founded in 2012 in Connecticut by a U.S. Army veteran and licensed clinical psychologist. Now serving clients across Maryland, Washington D.C., Florida, and multiple additional states through PSYPACT authorization, as well as internationally, CCW International is a trauma-informed telehealth practice dedicated to serving women, veterans, and military families.
We specialize in trauma recovery, resilience-building, and evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Our team of skilled, culturally competent clinicians brings both professional expertise and genuine heart to every session.
At CCW International, we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We take the time to understand your unique story, background, and goals, then build a care plan that fits your life.
