Online in California
(Online Only)
If you think you're ready to make some changes in your life, then I'm your person! If you've been struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, setting boundaries and/or relationship issues and you've been trying hard, but what you've been doing hasn't worked as well as you'd hoped, then we could be a good match. I'm originally from London, (one of the most diverse cities in the world). I'm half British and half French and I've also lived in Florida, California and now live in Costa Rica. As you can probably tell, I'm interested in different cultures, backgrounds and worldviews and how they can influence how we think and how we navigate our lives. I also have an appreciation and an understanding of the challenges involved in being an immigrant/the emotional upheaval of moving location. If all of this feels like a good fit, reach out for a consultation!
Client Focus
Session Format: Couple, Family, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Teen, Young Adult
Languages: English (plus a bit of French and a bit of Spanish - definitely not fluent!)
Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
Approach Description: My clients tell me I'm kind, compassionate and down-to-earth and I have a sense of humor - that's the British side of me - and I generally believe that thinking about things from different perspectives and trying to be flexible and resilient is the most effective way of overcoming challenges. I'm not saying I know everything - far from it, but I might be able to point out ways of seeing or approaching a situation that you hadn't considered. I love working with my clients as a team, rather than approaching the work as an "expert" who has all the answers, but I do want you to feel like you are getting valuable input from a professional, rather than just someone who listens and nods.
