I believe knowledge is power, and the better we understand ourselves and our minds, the more equipped we are to handle symptoms and stressors as they occur. Having lived experience with both ADHD and anxiety, I am able to relate to clients in a way others may not. I understand the complexities and nuances of the way the neurodivergent or anxious mind works and offer concrete skills and tools, as well as a place to process what neurodivergence means to you.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.

ADHD is often misunderstood and underrepresented in women and minorities. It is complex and can be difficult to understand from the outside, which often leads to frustration and repeated arguments in relationships. ADHD falls under the neurodivergence umbrella, along with ASD, OCD, dyslexia, and other learning disabilities. The neurodivergent brain is structurally different from the neurotypical brain. It is not something that can be fixed, nor will it completely disappear. Certainly, there are skills and tools available to help us deal with the symptoms and learn how to function easier in our day-to-day lives, but it is something we have to learn to live with and work with instead of working against. I believe knowledge is power, and the better we understand ourselves and our minds, the more equipped we are to handle symptoms and stressors as they occur. ADHD is often accompanied by anxiety and depression, although they can of course stand alone.
Anxiety is pervasive, affecting every aspect of our lives. It can affect our work or school performance, our relationships with friends & family, our physical health, and our relationship with ourselves. It can lead us to constantly doubt ourselves or those around us, to feel alone in a crowd, or to feel as small as a mouse. Media rarely depicts anxiety as it is actually experienced, neglecting the true harm and panic it can cause. There are good days and bad days, but every day consists of anxiety to some degree.
Having lived experience with both ADHD and anxiety, I am able to relate to clients in a way others may not. I understand the complexities and nuances of the way the neurodivergent or anxious mind works and can offer concrete skills and tools to help manage symptoms, as well as a safe and judgement-free place to explore past traumas, self-doubt, or any concerns about your sanity. Others are unable to understand you because your brain is structurally different from theirs, not because you were born with a defect. You are not crazy, just neurodivergent.
