Most people experience some form of stress, anxiety, overwhelm at some point in their lives. Persistent chronic stress in particular can lead to depression and even become traumatic. Many are seeing the advantage of talking to a professional to sort out their problems and also avoid overburdening their partner, family, and friends. Some issues are just easier to talk with a non-related third party. Therapy is a valuable opportunity to process through your thoughts and feeling and gain understanding of yourself, relationship problems, and family conflicts. I genuinely enjoy helping others work through their struggles and learn more about the roots of their current problems.

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
  • Integrative
  • Interpersonal
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Approach Description: I follow a more here-and-now and future-oriented approach instead of conducting a long deep-dive into your past and childhood. Oftentimes, all roads lead to past trauma, but I believe we can look at those surgically on an individual basis when necessary. My primary focus is to provide you with the feedback you need to improve your feelings and take actionable steps to improve the reason for seeking therapy. The more you know and understand yourself, the better you can manage your life. For those with adult ADHD, I provide therapy from an ADHD perspective to help you better understand how your unique ADHD affects your success at work, at home, and in relationships. We'll focus on finding practical solutions to address problems such as overwhelm and paralysis, procrastination, feeling stuck, disorganization, poor time management, uneven productivity, and relationship problems. We may also address common ADHD problems like low self-esteem, rejection sensitivity, and understanding the connection with anxiety, depression, and a lack of progress on goals.

I work with adults who want help with learning strategies for better managing their chronic stress, anxiety, overwhelm, depression, or adult ADHD. I also frequently work with clients on improving their relationships with their significant other and family or major life transitions and changes like starting a new job or promotion, getting married, or having a baby. Low self-esteem, perfectionism, work stress and burnout, and work-life imbalance are other common themes for therapy.
