Are you feeling overwhelmed by daily stress, anxious thoughts, or reminders of your traumatic memories? Struggling with anger or relationship conflict? Feeling stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts and unhealthy behaviors? Life's struggles can feel isolating but you don't have to face them alone. It would be a privilege and an honor to accompany you on your mental health journey.
I'm a licensed psychologist with over 18 years in the field. I have expertise in the treatment of PTSD, trauma, and stress and in the understanding of veteran and military culture. Other areas of specialty include anxiety, phobias, panic, depression, insomnia, and addiction. I work with teens and adults, as well as the spouses, partners and family members of those struggling. I also have extensive experience supporting veterans, first responders, and medical and mental health providers.
Whether you've been in therapy before or are ready to take the very first step towards healing and growth, I would love to hear from you.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach to trauma-informed treatment is collaborative and compassionate, supported by evidence-based interventions. I strive to help my clients process their traumas, navigate painful emotions, challenge unhealthy thinking, and develop healthy behavior patterns that lead to lasting change through use of the most effective treatments available. My goal is to create a space where you are accepted without judgment and can be honest, vulnerable, courageous, and willing to try new things. Together we will discuss pertinent historical information and construct a treatment plan that will help guide treatment selection and fits your specific needs, preferences, and goals. We will evaluate your progress throughout the course of therapy and will make adjustments as needed.
