Treatment Approach
- Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) A trauma-focused therapy that uses eye movements and imagery to help the brain reframe distressing memories. It often leads to quicker relief from symptoms compared to traditional talk therapy.
- Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Control Mastery Theory Helps clients uncover unconscious beliefs formed in childhood that may still be blocking them. It supports testing and changing these beliefs in a safe relationship.
- Developmental Therapy Looks at how childhood and developmental experiences affect current challenges. It aims to repair unmet needs and foster healthy growth.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Psychosocial Therapy Looks at how social and environmental factors affect psychological health. It emphasizes relationships, community, and resilience.
- Reality Therapy / Choice Theory Focuses on present choices and taking responsibility for actions. It helps clients create more fulfilling relationships and lives.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.

Our practice encourages optimal brain health from a holistic perspective. “Holistic” means to look at the wide variety of
elements that influence your thoughts and behaviors. Your brain, on a neurological level, directly affects your physical symptoms and emotional mental health.
Our practice is solution-focused, using evidence-based treatment techniques and interventions, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Our philosophy in therapy is to collaborate with you to help address your goals, symptoms, and move towards the life you want to achieve.
We also specialize in Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder (FNSD). Individuals
with FNSD have higher rates of anxiety, depression, and trauma than the general
population. Addressing these issues alone does not resolve FNSD symptoms for many
people. For this reason, we work with you in identifying the root cause of your symptoms
using research-based techniques. These techniques may lead to dramatic changes in
frequency, intensity, and duration of episodes, and sometimes, full resolution of FNSD
symptoms.
