Elaine Barrington

Elaine offers individual and couple counseling. She identifies as a relational therapist and utilizes the therapeutic relationship to illuminate patterns and issues that are reflected in clients' ongoing relationships and everyday life. Elaine also relies on somatic psychology and Jungian techniques such as imagery and symbolism to help clients uncover core issues and wounds that are outside their awareness but fuel many of the coping strategies used to navigate life's complexities. Through insight and curiousity Elaine helps her clients make these connections and process the diffcult emotions and sensations that often arise. Elaine creates a safe and compassionate container for her clients which allows them to heal and grow as they understand and release their past traumas and reintegrate the fragmented parts of themselves into a fuller, whole sense of self. The work continues as Elaine supports clients in developing resilences and genuine well being.
