You may know something needs to change but not be sure where to begin. Therapy can be a place to slow things down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and look at familiar challenges from a different angle. I work with teens, adults, and couples around anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, stress, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, practical, and strengths-based, with a focus on helping you better understand what is happening and identify what may actually be useful in your everyday life.

Treatment Approach
- Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I use Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman-informed work with couples.
In sessions, we may look at patterns that keep repeating, how earlier experiences are shaping current reactions, where communication breaks down, or what is making a situation harder to manage. I also like helping clients step back from a problem and see it from a different angle. From there, we can identify what is actually useful, what needs to change, and what can be practiced outside of therapy.

You may be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship strain, stress, or a major life change. Sometimes there is one clear issue bringing you to therapy. Other times, it may be a pattern you keep noticing in your thoughts, reactions, or relationships that you want to understand more clearly.
Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and strengths-based. Sessions may involve looking at patterns that keep repeating, exploring how earlier experiences are affecting the present, noticing where communication breaks down, and identifying what may actually help in day-to-day life. My work draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman-informed couples work.
For couples, the focus may include communication, recurring conflict, trust, emotional connection, and the ways each person responds when tension rises. I have completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy training and use research-informed tools to help couples better understand what is happening between them.
I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. My background in design, writing, music, and visual art also brings a creative perspective to the work. For clients who want it, faith and spiritual values can be included in therapy as part of the conversation.
