Treatment Approach
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is an overall eclectic one that combines techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), humanistic and psychodynamic therapy that is client centered and solution focused. My clients are provided an environment where they receive unconditional positive regard, genuine empathy, and a safe space to discover their own solutions. An important aspect of my therapeutic approach is assisting clients to identify and change negative thought patterns that help to improve behaviors and feelings. I try to meet people where they are at, so I can assist and guide them to where they want to go in a way that utilizes their strengths. I believe I can help people break down their issues and make more manageable to deal with in concrete terms. My sessions will involve check-ins, a review of any issues that have come up as well as monitoring a clients diagnosis Treatment Plan Goals and self-care. Progress will be an agreed-upon goal between myself and my clients. Between our sessions I want clients to consider or think about what happened in session. I like working with clients who are proactive and motivated to change for the better. I became a provider because I have always been curious about how our minds work, the impact that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs can have on our lives, and maybe most importantly that we can change our thoughts, feelings and beliefs and is so doing change our lives. Another reason I became a provider is because the significance of therapy on me. In therapy I finally felt someone heard me and understood what I was telling them about my thoughts, feelings, and beliefs and they didn’t try to correct me or tell me I was wrong for having them, instead they validated me and helped me explore them from different perspectives. In my personal life enjoy following my favorite sports teams, reading, watching TV and spending quality time with the people most important to me.
