I have been a social worker for 30 years and have been a licensed clinical social worker for 25 years. I am passionate about helping people learn how to deal with, process through, grow from, integrate with and/or move on from the challenges of life. I believe that connection with others creates healing from all sorts of life's challenges. I especially enjoy assisting people who have experienced traumatic experiences learn how to move on from their past experiences and embrace their current life. Prior to starting a private practice I spent the majority of my career working with children, teens and families in the school environment. I specialized in working with children and teens with mental health issues, behavioral challenges, academic challenges and relationship challenges. In most of my school jobs I was often dubbed the "staff therapist" because people feel comfortable talking with me and appreciate my ability to help them problem solve, to empathize with the challenges they are facing and help them make a plan for moving forward in a positive and proactive way.
