I came to this work through a longstanding interest in how people make meaning of their inner lives - the stories they inherit, the ones they tell themselves, and the gap between who they think they're supposed to be and who they actually are. I work with individuals and couples. My approach is direct, warm, and honest. I take your experience seriously, sit with what's difficult, and work with you toward something that actually fits your life. Whether you're navigating a sexual concern, a relationship rupture, a life transition, or something harder to name, my job is to help you understand yourself more clearly and move through your life with more freedom.
Client Focus
Session Format: Couple, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Young Adult
Demographic Expertise: Jewish, LGBTQ+, Men clients.
Treatment Approach
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Schema Therapy Identifies deep-rooted negative patterns formed in childhood. It combines CBT, attachment theory, and experiential methods for change.
Approach Description: My work is integrative and depth-oriented. In practice, that means I work on several levels at once: understanding the patterns shaped by your earliest relationships, attending to the emotions moving underneath those patterns, naming the rigid beliefs and survival strategies that may have outlived their usefulness, and supporting you to act in line with what actually matters to you, even when that's uncomfortable.
In sex therapy specifically, I work from the premise that sexual difficulties are rarely just sexual. They tend to involve body, history, relationship, and culture - including the often-invisible expectations we inherit about what sex is supposed to look like and what it's supposed to mean. My goal isn't to restore an idealized version of your sex life. It's to help you, and where relevant your partner, build a more honest, flexible, and resilient relationship to desire, pleasure, and each other.

I am out-of-network for both individual and couples therapy and provide superbills you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. All sessions are conducted via secure video.
