Life in Northern Virginia moves fast, but your therapy journey shouldn't feel rushed or overly clinical. Ditch a sterile medical office for a grounded, boutique approach to mental wellness. Specializing in EMDR and IFS-informed parts work for adults in the area and state at large, I help clients navigate the transition from feeling perpetually on edge to feeling more at home within their own systems. You aren't just another case file. You're a person looking for a safe place to do the real work. If you’re tired of surface-level talk and ready for lasting, meaningful change, let’s start with a conversation.

Treatment Approach
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
Approach Description: My approach is built on the belief that healing happens when we address the story you tell, the way your nervous system remembers it, and the way you experience our relationship. By integrating EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we often work what's called "bottom-up" to resolve trauma and tend to the parts of you stuck in survival mode. I weave in Gottman and relational techniques to help couples navigate the complexities of connection, while psychodynamic and person-centered roots ensure our time together is deeply empathetic and focused on your unique lived experience. It's a blend of skill and soulful connection.
Beyond the 50-Minute Hour: Standard therapy can sometimes feel like a slow drip, which doesn't serve everyone. I offer a more spacious way to work, through extended 90-minute sessions and therapeutic intensives ranging from 3 to 9 hours over 1-3 days. This structure is designed for those who need: more time to feel safe and grounded enough to move into vulnerability, more time to talk through complex situations without the anxiety of a "ten-minute warning" cutting them off, and need or prefer a concentrated burst of focused work rather than the standard, slower process over months of weekly appointments.

You’ve likely spent a long time being the strong one, the reliable one, or maybe the one known for keeping it all together. That armor, though, is heavy. Maybe you’re noticing the drive that once fueled your success is now fueling burnout, or that a past experience you thought you’d handled or gotten over is starting to resurface.
I believe therapy shouldn't feel like a doctor's appointment. Located in the heart of Leesburg, my practice is designed to be a sanctuary for adults who are ready to stop managing symptoms and start healing roots.
I combine the traditional (deeply relational, often psychodynamic) with modern, evidence-based tools like EMDR and IFS. This means we don’t just talk about your past, but also work with how your brain and body hold onto it.
Entering the space, whether in person or virtually, often feels like stepping into a deep breath. I prioritize a boutique experience:
*Attuned care: No one-size-fits-all worksheets. You and your history are unique, and your treatment should be, too.
*Specialized expertise: I specialize in complex trauma, relationship patterns, and the unique pressures of living and working in Northern Virginia.
*A grounded approach: I use human-first language. I'm not here to "fix" you because you aren't broken. You are, however, navigating a human experience that perhaps has become overwhelming.
If you're ready to trade the constant hum of anxiety, worry, or "not good enough" for a sense of grounded clarity and genuine shifts, you’ve found the right place.
