I have been in practice as a clinican for over 20 years and appreciate the opportunity and interaction developed within the therapeutic relationship. I value the opportunity to help people during a time of need, interpersonal challenges. During my career I have counseled children, youth, survivors of sexual/physical abuse. I was a Clinical Supervisor or Program Director at several non-profit organizations. I also worked at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital in the Outpatient Adult Psychiatry Program where I provided psychotherapy for adults of all ages and diverse backgrounds. I have also counseled men and women with miltary service history, and volunteered to provide DACA students free therapy for 4 years through a unique program.

- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Psychosocial Therapy Looks at how social and environmental factors affect psychological health. It emphasizes relationships, community, and resilience.
Approach Description: My approach to clinical treatment is client focused and collaborative. I engage with patients to identify their immediate needs and long term goals. My style is interactive and depends on patient priorities. I enjoy working with creative, artistic individuals who are seeking psychological support and want to feel more free to develop their artistic voices.

Education: I have a BA in Literature from UCLA and an MSW and MSG from USC. I have worked in numerous clinical settings such as UCLA in the Adult Outpatient Clinic, as well as a Clinical Supervisor to interns, as an instructor and have worked with children, teens, adults and seniors from all cultures.
