Everyone encounters pain and suffering throughout life, and figuring out how to process and channel that emotion is at the heart of my work. Having worked closely with Indigenous populations in Manitoba, California and the Great Lakes region, I use both culture and background to inform treatment. Every person is unique and your specific needs will determine our approach, all within a safe, secure and non- judgmental environment. To that end, I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is based on acceptance and empathy and is essential to client change.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I work with adults and couples experiencing: anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, addiction, and grief/loss. I am a Registered Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. We will work together to obtain insight, coping skills, and strategies to use in achieving the life you want. Together, we can see the meaning and purpose behind problems that once appeared insurmountable. We can then understand them and provide solutions. I am committed to helping you set and achieve your goals. I look forward to joining you on a path to healing and growth. First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Approved provider.
