Therapist & A Couch is a space rooted in the belief that every part of you belongs. No matter the story someone arrives with, the diagnoses they may carry, or the identities they may hold, we begin with the core human experiences that connect us all — our wishes, fears, wounds, conflicts, patterns, walking contradictions...our messiness. Within these places live the quiet truths that shape who we are. Together, we gently sift through what’s been heavy so you can feel lighter, freer, and more whole.

Treatment Approach
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Feminist Therapy Addresses how gender roles, power, and social inequality affect mental health. It empowers clients to challenge limiting beliefs and systems.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: I primarily practice from an existential-humanistic (E-H) perspective, and I have a lot of background and experience in doing so. For several years, I've engaged in weekly consultation with other like-minded professionals. Our group is led by Orah Krug who is highly regarded as an expert in this type of therapy. Additionally, I am currently seeking a certificate from the Existential Humanistic Institute.
While grounded in E-H therapy, I often incorporate perspectives from other therapies from time to time. These approaches might included Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Interpersonal Process, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

At Therapist & A Couch, I passionately practice from an existential-humanistic approach and nurture long-term, meaningful relationships with my clients. I believe that bringing curiosity and depth to whatever is on the surface opens the door to real and lasting change.
In our work together, clients often experience me as emotionally attuned, validating, thoughtful, compassionate, and playful. I aim to create a space where your full humanity is welcome, held, and explored at a pace that feels right for you.
And from one side of the couch to the other, I carry a deep, personal understanding of the value of therapy. It’s an honor to sit with people in this way. For anyone interested in connecting, I invite you to reach out and schedule an initial consultation. Kick your feet up. Let's chat.
