Every person has a story. Some chapters bring joy, while others leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. I believe therapy is a place to understand that story with compassion and begin moving toward a life that feels more like your own. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and safe enough to explore the patterns that shape our lives. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, I strive to create a space where growth can happen at a pace that feels right for you.

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Jungian Therapy Draws on Carl Jung’s ideas about archetypes, dreams, and the collective unconscious. It helps people explore deeper layers of meaning.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Play Therapy Uses toys, games, and creative play to help children express emotions. It is especially useful when children can’t fully verbalize their feelings.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I believe our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships make sense within the context of our life experiences. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may no longer be serving you, develop greater insight into where they came from, and build practical tools for creating meaningful change. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, attachment theory, and play therapy when working with children. Regardless of the approach, I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important factors in healing. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, challenged when appropriate, and supported as you move toward the life and relationships you want.

Every person has a story. Some chapters bring joy, while others leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. Therapy is a place to understand that story with compassion and begin moving toward a life that feels more like your own.
My name is Ryan, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. I earned my Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and am currently working toward full licensure in the state of Nevada.
One of the things I value most in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. Research consistently shows that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy. Because of that, I believe finding the right fit matters. If I'm not the right therapist for you, I'll do my best to help you find someone who is.
My approach is centered on understanding your story.
I believe we are all shaped by the relationships we've had, the experiences we've lived through, and the meaning we've made of them. The ways we think, cope, protect ourselves, and connect with others are often the logical result of the lives we've lived. Some of those patterns continue to serve us, while others begin to create difficulties in our lives and relationships. Therapy provides an opportunity to understand where those patterns came from and decide what you want to carry forward.
Together, we'll explore how you see yourself, how you experience the world, and how your past continues to influence the way you think, feel, and relate to others. I don't believe therapy is about fixing people. It's about making sense of how you became the person you are today, honoring the parts of you that helped you survive, and creating space for growth, healing, and new ways of living that better reflect the person you want to become.
I strive to create a space where you can move at a pace that feels right for you. Therapy isn't about rushing to solutions or following a script. It's about being heard, understood, and challenged when needed. I don't believe every session needs to end with an answer. Sometimes the most meaningful work begins with becoming curious about parts of your story that have gone unexplored for a long time. Some sessions bring clarity, while others simply raise better questions. My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences, recognize your strengths, and move forward in a way that feels authentic to who you are.
I work with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families.
With couples, I see my role as a process consultant, helping partners recognize the patterns they become caught in rather than deciding who is right or wrong. Often, couples aren't fighting about the dishes, money, or parenting—they're responding to deeper experiences of love, safety, rejection, and connection that each partner learned long before they met. Together, we'll slow those patterns down, understand what's happening beneath them, strengthen emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of relating that leave both partners feeling more understood.
When working with children, I primarily use play therapy. Play is a child's natural language and often allows them to express thoughts and emotions that are difficult to put into words. Through play, children communicate in ways words often cannot. I also believe meaningful change for children frequently happens outside the therapy room, which is why family involvement can be an important part of treatment. When appropriate, I work alongside parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, support healthy development, and help new skills carry over into everyday life.
I provide both in-person and secure online therapy for clients throughout Nevada using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Online therapy offers the same collaborative and thoughtful approach while providing greater flexibility for those balancing work, school, family responsibilities, or transportation challenges.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, or simply trying to better understand yourself, I hope therapy becomes a place where your experiences are met with curiosity rather than judgment. My goal is to help you better understand where you've been, recognize the strengths you've developed along the way, and move toward the life you want to create.
I am currently accepting new clients and welcome individuals, couples, children, and families seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-informed approach to therapy.
