Mensch Therapy (She/Her)

Counselor/Therapist, MS, LPC
 therapist: Mensch Therapy,
Online in Oregon (Online Only)
I’m an individual therapist working with adults online across Oregon. Many of my clients arrive feeling stuck, overthinking, and quietly exhausted; carrying trauma, anxiety, or grief while still being the one everyone relies on. Sometimes it’s the fallout of growing up as the responsible one, perfectionism that won’t shut off, or a nervous system that lives on high alert. Even after yoga, exercise, and stacks of books have taken you as far as they can, tings still linger. My style is collaborative, curious, and authentic. I don’t pile on pressure. I bring clarity, warmth, and a shame-free lane forward. Together we’ll uncover the patterns beneath the overwhelmed feeling: people-pleasing, pushing through burnout, and the ways your body keeps the score. I specialize in helping adults build steadier days, clearer boundaries, and kinder self-talk. You don’t have to keep performing “I’m fine” to deserve help. If you’re ready to move past surface fixes and feel like yourself again, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
Approach Description: In my work, we slow the spin, name what’s actually happening, and build change that holds in real life. The patterns might sound familiar: overfunctioning when you’re depleted, people-pleasing/fawning when you mean no, perfectionism that won’t shut off, chronic overthinking, hypervigilance, numbing, boundary collapses, and the self-criticism that follows. I ground our work in a trauma-informed, person-centered relationship—warm, honest, zero shame—so you have a safe place to set the armor down. From there, we use IFS “parts work” to understand why your inner critic, fixer, or shut-down part took their jobs—and update those roles with compassion. We add somatic nervous-system skills you’ll actually use (orienting, believable breath, micro-resets, simple movement) so your body can settle enough to choose differently. When it fits, we may also use gentle, low-exposure memory reconsolidation methods, like the FLASH technique, to help your brain update old threat memories without graphic retelling. My process is collaborative and adaptive: we keep what helps, pivot when needed, and match tools to how you think and learn. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s steadier days, clearer boundaries, fewer spirals, and feeling more like yourself.

Mensch Therapy Practice Description
I work with adults online throughout Oregon who want a space to stop white-knuckling and breathe again. Many of my clients are navigating burnout, trauma histories, overactive defenses, and complicated grief. In therapy, I walk alongside you to see what’s actually happening beneath people-pleasing, perfectionism, or avoidance—so you can choose which patterns to keep and which to retire. I integrate evidence-based approaches (CBT, IFS-informed work, FLASH, and somatic skill building) with an authentic, inviting style. My goal is a space safe enough to put the armor down and explore what’s genuinely you. This doesn’t mean losing your edge, quitting your high-performing job, or cutting off everyone. Together we build self-trust and renegotiate stress responses so you can show up how you want to, not how you think you “should.” Therapy with me isn’t about being “fixed”; it’s about feeling more connected, less disengaged, and more yourself. If this resonates, let’s schedule a free 20-minute consult. You don’t have to navigate this alone!
