Let's be honest. You have probably heard plenty of advice on how to fix yourself, change your body, or stop feeling so anxious all the time. You might have even tried it all and still feel stuck. I don't believe in adding more rules to your life or pushing you toward some ideal version of who you "should" be. My goal is simply to help you slow down and listen to what you already know deep inside. We will work together to untangle the shame you have been carrying from the actual truth about who you are. This is not about achieving perfection. It is about finding relief from the exhausting pressure to constantly change yourself. You deserve to feel peaceful with your body instead of fighting against it every day. If that sounds like the kind of support you need right now, let's chat to see if we are a good fit.

Treatment Approach
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach is gentle, warm, and flexible because I know every day looks different for you. A big piece of this work is getting to know all the "parts" of you that play a role in how your life unfolds. You might have a part trying to control your eating and another part just wanting some rest; we get curious about both instead of judging either one. Another piece of this work is connecting with our body again, because feelings often live there before our mind even catches them. Sometimes big feelings show up when we're working in therapy. That's okay and I want you to feel supported moving through them, so we may lean on some practical skills to help you stay grounded and calm in the moment. Through it all, I trust your own wisdom and let you lead the way so our time together feels safe and exactly right for where you are right now.

◼︎ I work with women and gender-expansive adults in the San Francisco Bay Area and across California who are done with the endless cycle of body criticism and food anxiety. You know what this feels like. The voice that starts criticizing you in the morning, the worry that follows you through meals, the advice that sounds helpful but leaves you stuck. Many of you have spent years trying to shrink yourselves, not because you genuinely want to, but because the pressure to be smaller or more controlled has been part of the background noise for a long time. Therapy here does not start with a checklist to fix your eating or change your body. We begin with wherever you are right now, even if that feels messy or confusing. From there, we explore how you landed here and what changes when we stop fighting yourself and start listening instead. ◼︎
You do not need to prove yourself to deserve care. ◼︎ Your feelings about difficult times count and deserve attention. These ideas may feel radical in a world that rewards constant self-improvement, yet they create space for genuine healing. I bring clinical training to our time together along with my own lived experience navigating life as a millennial woman in a bigger body. Healing happens alongside the rest of your life, not in a bubble away from it. We won't act like your money stories, family history, work demands, or body pressures happen in a vacuum. They exist inside systems built to serve someone else, and we will name that truth together. If you prefer straightforward talks and genuine connection over polished answers, this might be the right place for you. ◼︎
