New Birth Family Counseling
Marriage and Family Therapist, PHD
Are you carrying the heavy load of trauma, feeling like an imposter in your own body? It's challenging to navigate daily life when the weight of past experiences looms over you. Your relationship may be strained because your partner doesn't understand what's wrong, and you find yourself trapped in constant ruminating thoughts, losing sight of your purpose.
Imagine a life where you've lifted that burden, and trauma becomes a distant memory that no longer weighs you down. Picture yourself out, enjoying life with friends and your partner, your bond stronger than ever. You've rediscovered your spirit and purpose.
I specialize in trauma healing by using EMDR, CPT, and Brain Spotting. These modalities aim to get to the heart of trauma and help your brain reprocess those traumatic memories. Book a free consultation and let me help you feel whole again.

I am an experienced, warm, and compassionate clinical social worker with years of experience treating clients with a variety of mental health conditions. Ricardo Peña
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
I provide services in Spanish + English.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist of Mesoamerica-Indigienous ancestry. My life exposed to community violence, trauma and intersecting oppressions has led me to the work of healing, self-discovery, exploration and ancestral healing.
I was raised in the SF Bay Area and I currently reside on the stolen lands of the Tongva peoples, colonially known as Los Angeles, California.
My lived experiences of being a person of color with intersecting identities, navigating the world and the trauma that comes with that, has led me to the practice of healing at a young age. I grew up with many years of witnessing (through family members + my community) severe mental illness, addiction, community violence, chronic suicidality, incarceration and domestic violence. Through my own stories and experiences, as a justice-oriented therapist, I aim to disrupt and dismantle these oppressive systems within myself and in my practice to make therapy a safe(r) space for folks who are targeted and made marginalized.
