Beth Jackson Counselling and Coaching

Counsellor/Therapist, BA (hons), Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
I could tell you that I am warm and personable and could list all the variety of clients that I have worked with as well as my wide experience in schools, education and with families (my own as well as other people’s). More important than that though is for me to understand your story, your situation, your plans and vision for the week, month and year. You are an individual and your situation is also totally unique. For you, choosing and working with the right counsellor is vitally important so please contact me to find out more. A good and open relationship between a client and counsellor is essential and I tailor my sessions to work to your needs. We can discuss and choose strategies to improve your situation quickly as we work together in a clear and step by step way.

John Castleford

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring. I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders. We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control. Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression. Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.

Therapy with me is interactive, direct, warm, & compassionate. I spent 20+ years as a creative and A&R exec in entertainment, & still work in music & TV. When life's inevitable transitions rear their head (adolescence, college, employment, marriage, divorce, aging, grief & loss), I help you more elegantly navigate these potentially challenging life moments. I'm warm, casual and easy to talk to. I offer evidenced-based, results-oriented interventions tailored to your specific past and present life-experiences, as well as your strengths, talents and genetics. My writing has appeared in Psychology Today, Billboard Magazine, et al. Sessions in Culver City (a stones throw from Apple, Sony, Amazon), or Telehealth.

Aleksei Panov

Registered Psychotherapist, MA Psy, MS Psy, RP
I am a registered psychotherapist with experience over 15 years in psychotherapy and counselling. I work with individuals and couples. I specialize in working with anxiety, anger, depression, lack of motivation, and hopelessness. I am also very experienced in teaching communication skills and negotiations. Everything is possible if you work on it, so I am focused on solutions and actions in practice. I try to be creative and use evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches. My sessions are focused on results, but I use a deep understanding and analysis of the roots of the issues. I have a background in CBT, psychoanalysis and psychodynamic techniques.
