Childhood and adolescence are the years of most rapid development - physical, mental, emotional, and social. These are periods of great opportunity but also of significant vulnerability - adversities in childhood and adolescence can lead to longer-term difficulties and a compromised quality of life. It is therefore important for problems, including those encompassing a child, or a young person's mental health, to be addressed in a timely manner.
