Clients are often surprised to learn some of the symptoms that come with trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Some of those symptoms include anxiety, intrusive thoughts, guilt, social isolation, loss of pleasure, hypervigilance, and self-destructive behaviors (to name a few). Although this can seem overwhelming, I use trauma-informed approaches and a trauma reprocessing therapy similar to EMDR.
