If you prefer not to rehash what happened, we can help your body and mind process the lingering emotions, body sensations, and intrusive images using an eye movement therapy called Accelerated Resolution Therapy. This helps reduce symptoms in just a few sessions, often only one session. Clients says they are surprised at the quick relief from ART. Using traditional talk therapy or ART, we can continue to process what happened and help you learn to relate to the world in a different way, or help you prepare for future situations that are similar. Many women who have experienced traumatic births find ART helpful in enabling them to decide whether to have more children from a clear mind and not from a place of fear.

A person suffering with PTSD has experienced or has been a witness to a traumatic event where a threat of death or serious injury occurs to self or others. During the experience or observing of such trauma the individual senses "intense fear, helplessness or horror".
