I am a passionate and dedicated clinical therapist and PhD-level social worker, deeply committed to empowering individuals on their journey toward mental health and well-being. My career has been driven by a profound belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the power of therapy to transform lives. With extensive experience in both social work and clinical settings, I have developed a therapeutic approach that is compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic, addressing not only psychological needs but also the social and environmental factors influencing my clients' lives. My practice is rooted in the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, tailored to meet the unique circumstances of each individual I work with. I am particularly attuned to the complexities of navigating life's challenges in the face of systemic barriers, drawing on my research and professional experiences to offer nuanced support. I am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment that is safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental, where clients feel heard, understood, and supported in their personal growth. My mission is to provide accessible, high-quality mental health services that encourage healing, resilience, and a deeper understanding of self, leveraging the power of online therapy to reach those in need, wherever they may be.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LLMSW
Therapy is a brave step in the process of navigating life’s current challenges and healing past wounds in a safe environment. I offer a unique and compassionate perspective to therapy, employing IFS/parts work, Somatic strategies, and Psychodynamic methods, while drawing on the transformative power of curiosity and creativity as impactful tools for healing and growth. As a genderqueer person and 10 year resident of the city of Detroit, I recognize that oppressive systems contribute to mental health disparities among marginalized groups. Combining my extensive experience teaching art across all age groups, my Master’s in Social Work, and my experience as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I work from a feminist, anti-racist, perspective. Working with children (ages 6 and up), teens, and adults, my commitment to inclusivity includes LGBTQIA+ issues, disability, trauma, ADHD, autism, depression, and anxiety. I am here to provide a compassionate therapeutic experience for you to explore your narrative, embrace your strengths, and foster resilience, hope, and joy. Informed by an intersectional lens, my approach is grounded in equality and empowerment, addressing the impact of all parts of your identity on how you navigate the world and approach growth and healing. I will support you in navigating these complex experiences and identities through empowerment, using Psychodynamic, Somatic, and Internal Family Systems methods. I am affirming of all queer, chronically ill/disabled, and neurodivergent identities, and always continuing my education on the liberation of all people, whether I have shared experience with them or not. I have particular experience and understanding of the difficulty that neurodivergent, queer, and chronically ill people face in navigating our healthcare system, job market, and social world. I am also well versed in religious trauma, particularly experienced by queer people. Though these are my areas of focus, I am here to affirm and empower anyone looking for support navigating mental health issues, life changes, issues with self worth, trauma, and anything anything that you are struggling to process on your own. I am honored to walk beside on your journey towards healing, growth, and joy.

It is often difficult to ask for support in the face of life’s challenges, and I appreciate you taking this step! I work with young adults and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, and identity and self-esteem concerns, among others. My goal is to create a comfortable and safe space where we work collaboratively to help you face those challenges and make the changes you desire to live a more fulfilling life. We all have vulnerabilities, and strengths we often don’t realize. I therefore work with my clients to build on their strengths and resilience, and develop self-compassion. I recognize the impact of culture on our identities and experiences and I have enjoyed working with clients from diverse backgrounds at outpatient, community mental health, and university counseling settings. These included the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University, DePaul University and University of Illinois at Chicago. I welcome clients from all walks of life and feel humbled by their willingness to invite me to be a part of their journey.
