Nest & The Relationhsip Retreat

Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical PACFA accredited, Gottman Method Level 2
I have worked with many couples where they have either grown up in Domestic and Family Violence situations or they are currently living in that situation. Once full assessment is completed, if the DFV is found to be contraindicated to therapy outcomes I would refer on for individual therapy. In circumstances where it would be workable in therapy, I would work with the couple to explore healthy conflict management.

Rosette Rouhana Art Therapy

Art Therapist, Bachelor of Art Therapy
Hello and welcome! I am a registered Arts Therapist and counselor based in Sydney. I provide art therapy and counselling to those experiencing, or have experienced domestic abuse or violence, and needing support to process and heal the experiences that were faced as a result of DV. Through my practice, I make an intentional commitment to support individuals in their health and wellbeing journey. My mission is to enrich and empower the lives of others through creativity and connection. My passion for expressive creative arts has inspired me to further explore how art can be used as a tool for healing, and the ways it can be used in mental health recovery as a psychotherapeutic modality.

Clair Ramsden

Counsellor/Therapist, (Dip.Couns)
If you're going to focus on what's causing you stress, staying focused on the present is the best way to do it. Based on the latest neuroscience, my approach is usually centred on the high points of an individual's life, and it involves recalling those times when they were at their best. This allows us to recreate the feelings that they experienced. One of the most effective ways to start working is to focus on the positive instead of the negative feelings that you experienced in the past. For instance, ask yourself if you made the best decisions when you were feeling low. Although most people aren't broken, they may be struggling with a mismatch between their expectations and their feelings. This could be because their brain doesn't always align with their emotions. It's also possible that external factors have caused them to feel low. If you're feeling low, it could be because your self-esteem has taken a nose-dive or you're not able to cope with the situation. Our thoughts and emotions often determine our behaviour. It's important to remember that we can only become the best version of ourselves if we can control our emotions and thoughts. It's possible that your thoughts are preventing you from achieving the best version of yourself. If this is the case, then why not let me help you overcome the issues that are holding you back?
