My approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the very personal experiences of PTSD and Complex Trauma. I use evidence-based therapies with you such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, and trauma-informed therapy to help you manage and resolve the symptoms of PTSD, including flashbacks, anxiety, and avoidance behaviors. Following the current research into approaches which do and do not work, I do not use exposure approaches, and do not require a client to go through the details of their trauma. Working through Traumas, is challenging, but with motivation and commitment recovery is very possible.
