Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
Approach Description: As a therapist or counselor, I support individuals facing challenges related to work, relationships, and cultural adjustments, and related stress issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance abuse, OCD or perfectionism. I work with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for stress, depression, and anxiety, using mindfulness and values techniques. I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. I have worked with OCD, self compassion, and perfectionism as well.

We will work as a team to address the challenges you face, such as workplace, relationship, or cultural stress related trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD or perfectionism.
I believe in us having a committed relationship, where we will explore your challenges, identify your strengths, and work collaboratively to create meaningful steps toward the life you want. I believe a strong connection through me really listening is key: I am happy to counsel or gently point you in the right direction, but you will be steering the ship.
Through Person Centered Therapy (PCT). I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Clients therefore feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions, thus achieving personal growth through finding their own solutions. Another core therapy method I work with is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which combines mindfulness and values, so clients can manage unworkable thoughts and identify/work with what’s important to them, bringing meaning to life.
Therapy and counseling, and coaching aim to support personal growth and well-being but can differ in focus and approach. Therapy more often addresses past experiences, emotional challenges, and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. Counseling often focuses on more on current life challenges, such as stress, grief, or career decisions, and provides practical support and guidance to help individuals navigate these situations effectively.
I became a therapist because of my life experiences, what I have seen in the business market over 30 years, and because I care about people and I want the best for them. I promise to work with you from this perspective at all times. In general I have a hands off approach but I do inspire others to step outside of their comfort zones, and hold them accountable to their values and goals. For success, we must both be committed.
